Jim is an independent curator who collaborates with other creative people - visual artists, writers, filmmakers and designers. He’s always on the look out for innovative projects which bring museum collections or heritage sites to life. These can be small unique projects or long term with many partners and ambitious aims.
He’s worked in the museums and galleries sector for 19 years in many capacities including learning officer, curator, researcher and advisor. He has extensive experience of leading museum projects particularly where this requires developing new approaches in close consultation with users and museum staff.
As regional museums advisor for MLA East Midlands Jim supported and advised museums in all aspects of their work particularly interpretation. Since 2007, he has worked freelance with museum staff and volunteers to curate creative projects.

Rachel is a qualified interior designer, teacher and an independent learning specialist. She guides museums and galleries in their provision for learning and develops programmes for visitors which bring collections and sites to life in informative, creative and fun ways, especially school aged children.
She has worked as a primary school teacher, schools and special needs officer and learning officer in museums and has had extensive freelance experience of leading museum learning projects.
